Snap a Box Score, Build a Box Score: AI Scanning Now Live

Stop typing rows of stats from paper sheets — point your phone at a hand-written box score, and Schedule Guru's AI rebuilds the entire digital box in seconds. PDFs and CSVs work too.

Goodbye to paper-to-spreadsheet retyping

Rec leagues, youth tournaments, and old-school federations still run on hand-written box scores. We get it — pen on paper is fast for the scorekeeper but a nightmare for the league commissioner who has to digitize 30 games' worth on a Sunday night.

Our new AI Box Score Scanner turns that nightmare into a one-tap operation.

How it works

  1. Open any stats game (or scan and create a new one)
  2. Tap Scan Box Score
  3. Snap a photo, upload a phone screenshot, drop a PDF, or paste a CSV
  4. The AI reads jersey numbers, names, and every stat column — assigns each row to the correct team, normalizes column headers, and previews the result for your approval
  5. Confirm — full digital box score is live in your league, leaderboard, and player career sheets

What it handles

  • Photo of a hand-written sheet (we straighten + de-skew automatically)
  • PDF from a stats program (one or many pages)
  • CSV with auto-mapped column headers — "PTS"/"Points"/"P" all resolve to the same field

Where it shows up

Imported stats roll into every public view automatically: the league leaderboard, player career stat sheets, team detail pages, and standings tiebreakers. Pro plan users can also edit any imported game manually if the AI mis-reads a number — every edit is logged.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How accurate is the AI box-score scanner?
For clean printed box scores from common stats programs, accuracy is near 100%. For hand-written sheets, accuracy depends on legibility — we routinely see 95%+ when names and numbers are clear. You always get a preview before the import is saved, so you can correct any misreads before they hit your leaderboard.
Which file formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, HEIC photos; PDF (text-layer or scanned); CSV with auto-mapped headers; and pasted spreadsheet rows (Tab or comma separated). Maximum file size is 15 MB.
